Badlands Ranch Surpasses $1 Million In Donations To The Jason Heigl Foundation

(PRESS RELEASE) PARK CITY, UT — Badlands Ranch announced that it has exceeded $1 million in donations to the Jason Heigl Foundation, marking a milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting animal rescue and welfare efforts nationwide.

Founded by Katherine Heigl in 2022, Badlands Ranch was built with a commitment to giving back, with a portion of proceeds supporting the Jason Heigl Foundation, a nonprofit Katherine and her mother, Nancy Heigl, established in 2008 in honor of Katherine’s late brother, Jason.

The Jason Heigl Foundation has worked tirelessly to eliminate the needless suffering inflicted on animals nationwide through human cruelty, indifference and ignorance. Since its founding, the Heigl family has directed over $8 million toward the foundation to support animal welfare, leading to more than 25,000 animals rescued, over 21,000 spay/neuter surgeries funded, and more than 7,500 dogs transported out of overcrowded and high-kill shelters to safety.

The $1 million milestone has helped fuel the Foundation’s lifesaving work across the country.

“Every dog deserves clean, healthy food,” says Katherine Heigl, Founder of Badlands Ranch. “That’s why my mom and I started the Jason Heigl Foundation in 2008. It’s why I built Badlands Ranch in 2022- gently air-dried, 87% beef, beef heart, beef liver & salmon , with real superfoods.”

The Foundation’s work spans three core initiatives: The Namaste Initiative, which provides high-volume free spay/neuter services to reduce shelter overcrowding; Save A Life, which supports rescue, rehabilitation, medical care, training, and adoption efforts; and a grants program that provide various funding to animal welfare organizations making a difference in their communities.

Today, the Foundation continues to support rescue partners nationwide while expanding its impact through partnerships with organizations including Riverside County Animal Services, Paws for Life K9, and Operation Blankets of Love, helping provide critical resources to animals in need.

While the $1 million milestone reflects the growing impact of Badlands Ranch’s giving efforts, Katherine says the work is far from finished.

“We didn’t build Badlands Ranch to sell food,” says Heigl. “We built it so we could keep paying it forward to the Foundation.”
