Braden Mann, Eagles Reportedly Agree To Four-year Contract
The Eagles have already lost a number of players to free agency but Braden Mann is staying in Philadelphia. The team and the 28-year-old punter have agreed to a four-year, $14 million contract, according to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Mann’s $3.5 million annual value puts him tied with Ryan Wright for being the fifth-highest paid player at his position on a yearly basis. Only six other punters have signed to contracts with more guaranteed money than Mann’s $7 million.
Mann had a solid season for the Eagles last year with a career-high 49.9 yard per punt average on 72 punts for 3,591 total yards. He really helped to flip the field in several games by making up for the Eagles’ inept offense being unable to move the ball. The team will hope to not need him as often in 2026 after leading the league in three-and-out percentage in 2025.
The Eagles originally signed Mann during their 2023 season. He’s been a good punter in addition to serving as a reliable holder for Jake Elliott on field goals/extra point kicks. It’s nice to know he’s locked in for years to come.
While Elliott and Mann are currently in place to make up two thirds of the specialist room, the Eagles still need to sign a long snapper. Charley Hughlett is a free agent.
