The Denver Broncos will place wide receiver Pat Bryant on short-term injured reserve according to multiple reports. He will be out for the next four weeks and will be eligible to return around midseason timeframe.

Broncos are placing WR Pat Bryant on short-term IR because of his ankle injury, source confirms (@RapSheet).
He was close to returning for the 4-game minimum but Broncos may need roster spots to bring up Humphrey from PSquad and some CBs from practice squad.

There was an initial belief that the team could avoid putting him on IR, but the need for roster space and his likely return being around four games forced their hand. As Mike Klis of 9News noted, we’ll see Lil’Jordan Humphrey called up to the active roster and they’ll also need come cornerback help with Pat Surtain II out and potentially Riley Moss as well. Denver could be down three key starters heading into their Week 5 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The offense has been very disappointing to start the season, but Bryant has been one of the more consistent players when the Broncos needed points. He has 9 catches for 133 yards and a touchdown through three and a half games. They will definitely need him down the stretch.
