Entering his third season, Miller has been a practice squad player for two years. Even with the departure of John Franklin-Myers it was hard to see a viable path for him to make the final 53-man roster. He remains an interesting developmental player as noted in our offseason roster review of Miller:
The physical traits Miller has are certainly promising. However, entering his third year with the Broncos, he faces steep competition in order to make the final 53-man roster. That’s no fault of his own—it’s just the reality of the situation—Denver’s defensive line is stacked.
Given his history developing on the team’s practice squad, he’ll remain a candidate for that. And we know Denver loves maintaining its defensive line depth.
