According to Mike Klis of 9News, the Denver Broncos have waived outside linebacker Ron Stone, Jr today.

#Broncos have started making cuts. They have cut two recent UFL signees, OLB Ron Stone Jr. and DT Israel Antwine, per sources.

Stone was added to Denver’s roster just last week as a former UFL star with the Columbus Aviator’s. He originally came into the league as an undrafted free agent after the 2024 NFL Draft and spent some time with the Las Vegas Raiders. Denver has made a concerted effort to scout the UFL for talent this offseason:

The UFL angle is interesting as that is where the team found Dondrea Tillman – who has developed into a great depth pass rusher. As a late addition to training camp, however, Stone’s chances of making the roster are rather slim. It will be interesting to see if they have a long-term vision for him when they fill out their practice squad next week.

While he was one of several UFL players who spent time in camp, it looks like he’ll be available for the practice squad if the team liked what they saw.
