Fantasy Football: Jonathan Taylor Goes Off, Commanders Lose Marcus Mariota In First London Game Of 2026

The Sunday slate in Week 4 kicked off in London. We got a matchup between the Colts and Commanders, and while Indianapolis’ 30-13 win wasn't the prettiest game, there were a few things to note for fantasy football. Let's dive in.

JT turns in RB1 performance

In the least surprising storyline of the game, Jonathan Taylor bounced back after a down Week 3. The Colts offense was a bit stagnant in the first half with just 10 points, but Taylor scored one of his two TDs in that frame, finishing the game with 21 touches for 97 total yards and the scores (22.2 fantasy points).

The big takeaway here is that Taylor should continue to eat the rest of the season with how the Indy passing game has looked so far this season. Daniel Jones was unable to capitalize on a weak Washington secondary, completing just 19 of 34 passes for 143 yards and a pick. Sure, Alec Pierce and Keenan Allen were sidelined in the game, but Josh Downs couldn't get going (3-16 on 4 targets). Laquan Treadwell led Colts receivers with five catches on six targets for 42 yards. Tyler Warren had a 5-41-0 line, not bad in PPR, but also not what you want to see from your TE1.

The Colts should get healthier, which will help Jones and the passing game. But the upcoming schedule has some tough road games on tap (PIT, MIN, JAX). It's going to be tough to trust anyone on the Colts for fantasy football not named Taylor until the rest of the unit gets healthy.

Commanders lose another QB

Washington lost QB Marcus Mariota in the first half to a knee injury and he was unable to return. It reportedly was an aggravation of an MCL sprain he sustained during the preseason and is going for further testing. It's a tough break for the Commanders, fresh off an upset of the reigning champion Seahawks last week. Mariota was great in that contest, tossing three TD passes in the win.

Mariota was able to muster 46 passing yards and 35 rushing yards before exiting. Jayden Daniels could be back sooner than previous thought, but with his durability issues, the team should be cautious. Third-string rookie Athan Kaliakmanis relieved Mariota and finished with 186 yards, one TD and one pick with a 60.9 passer rating. Kaliakmanis did complete a few downfield passes but isn't a fantasy option.

If Daniels can get back, he should stabilize the offense, which was also missing top WR Terry McLaurin for the London game. Even when Daniels returns, the unit has kind of been a mess. Austin Ekeler signed with the team this week and immediately saw touches, leeching from Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who we thought would be in line for a solid game with Rachaad White sidelined. Six players saw carries for the Commanders and no player got to double-digit rushes. Dyami Brown and Treylon Burks each benefitted from long catches, and Stefon Diggs finished with 5-35 on a team-high nine targets.

Similar to the Colts, it's going to be tough to trust anyone in the Commanders offense moving forward until the QB room gets healthy. Even then, Washington has some tough opponents coming up in the 49ers, Eagles and Rams, sandwiched between the two games against the Giants. Reassess any of your Washington skill position players for fantasy, none of them appear more than risky flex options at the moment.
