The Warriors remain extremely slim entering Saturday’s matchup with the Atlanta Hawks.

After exiting Friday’s 115-101 loss to the Detroit Pistons early, Kristaps Porziņģis’ back spasms continue to persist, forcing Golden State’s big man to miss Saturday’s matchup with his previous team at 5 p.m. at State Farm Arena.

Porziņģis will remain sidelined alongside Steph Curry (knee), Jimmy Butler (ACL), Al Horford (soleus), Moses Moody (wrist) and Seth Curry (adductor). 

Meanwhile, Draymond Green (back, De’Anthony Melton (knee), Gary Payton II (knee) and Malevy Leons (wrist) are all questionable to play.

While the Warriors would love to have all of their players available, the team’s current status is no surprise — especially the state of Porziņģis, who presumed he’d miss facing the Hawks.

“Feeling alright, a little tight now. Once I cooled down, it tightened up even more, but I’ll get it going soon,” Porziņģis said after Friday’s loss, before answering a question about whether he feels like he will sit Saturday. “Probably. Yeah, we’ll see. Maybe it loosens up tomorrow, who knows? 

“Right now, it’s pretty stiff.”

Porziņģis has played in just 24 games during the 2025-26 NBA season. 

Over his mere seven games with Golden State, the 30-year-old has been valuable, averaging 14.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

Porziņģis, though, has missed the majority of his games as of late due to an illness or ankle injury. The back issue is something he actually hasn’t dealt with much over his 10-year NBA career.

“Earlier in my career, a little bit,” Porziņģis replied. “Honestly, I’m pretty good at managing and keeping the back strong. I’m sure it’ll go away pretty quickly.”

Golden State needs all of its players, especially its prized NBA trade deadline acquisition, back in action as soon as possible.
