Odell Beckham Jr. will be part of the New York Giants’ 2026 roster.

Jordan Schultz reported that Beckham has made the team.

After Friday’s preseason game against the New York Jets, Giants head coach John Harbaugh had said Beckham “has done enough to make an NFL roster.” At the time, though, he did not commit to Beckham making the Giants’ roster.

Now, that appears to be a reality.

The 13th overall pick by the Giants in the 2014 NFL Draft, Beckham starred for the Giants for five seasons before they traded him to the Cleveland Browns. Beckham had four 1,000-yard receiving seasons with New York, and his flamboyant personality and incredible ability made him a celebrity and international superstar.

Since being traded by the Giants, Beckham has played for the Browns, Los Angeles Rams, Baltimore Ravens, and Miami Dolphins.

Beckham’s last 1,000-yard receiving season came in 2019 with Cleveland. His last productive season as an NFL player was 23 with the Ravens, when he caught 35 passes for 565 yards.

Beckham caught just nine passes in nine games for the Dolphins in 2024, and did not play in the NFL last season.

For his career, Beckham has 575 receptions for 7,987 yards.

His relationship with John Harbaugh, his coach with the Ravens in 2023, led to Beckham getting an opportunity at a comeback with the Giants.

In three preseason games, Beckham caught seven passes for 76 yards, an average of 10.9 yards per catch. His longest catch was a 23-yarder in the preseason finale against the New York Jets.

When the Giants signed Beckham in June, Harbaugh said that he has high expectations for Beckham.

“You can’t be just okay. You’re Odell Beckham,” Harbaugh said. “You’ve got to come out here and you have to be performing at a high level in workout, you’ve got to be performing at a high level in practice. You got to be a guy capable that we can see would have a chance to make a difference in NFL games. You have to be that kind of player.”

Apparently Harbaugh believes that Beckham can be a difference maker for the Giants.
