It is nice to see a homegrown guy get an extension. That is how you build a winning franchise, and with the exception of Jeffery Simmons, they haven’t drafted and then signed a player to a huge extension in a long time. Skoronski is by far the best player on the offensive line.

Now, they just have to figure out what they are doing at all of the other spots on the offensive line. We know that Dan Moore is the left tackle. They signed him to a big contract last offseason, and the results were mixed at best. JC Latham will play right tackle, and honestly, we still aren’t really sure if he is good or not. The center and left guard spots are up for grabs in training camp.

You can debate the merits of drafting a guard with the 11th pick in the draft, but at least they hit a home run on the guard they drafted.
