Catholic dating is in crisis. Young Catholics are struggling to find spouses, frustrated by unrealistic expectations, ghosting, endless red flags, and a dating culture that seems increasingly hostile to marriage.

In this video, I explore why dating has become so difficult for young Catholics, why so much conventional dating advice misses the point, and how our modern obsession with self-fulfillment is undermining our ability to find lasting relationships.

Drawing on St. Augustine's teaching about marriage, the importance of virtue, and the role of Christian community, I argue that marriage isn't an achievement or a reward for finding the perfect person. It's a vocation that demands courage, sacrifice, fidelity, and self-giving love.

And perhaps the most important question isn't whether you've found someone worth marrying, but whether you've become someone capable of marriage.
