A Contractor Illegal Removed Asbestos From The Exterior Of My Home.

Location: Maryland

I had a tree fall on my home and caused a decent amount of damage. I contacted my homeowners insurance and filed a claim. It was determined I would be getting new siding and a new roof. I used the contractor that my insurance company suggested to me

My house was built in the 50s and had asbestos siding. It has now become clear that this company had zero idea how to deal with asbestos. I ended up with chunks of it all over my yard. There has been a lot of back and forth between me, the contractor and the insurance company. The yard has been gone through "with a fine tooth comb". Afterwards, I had insurance agree to hire an environmental inspector who found between 3-14% asbestos in 9 out of 13 samples. I am also concerned about having tracked asbestos into my home. I have just received the report and forwarded it to my insurance adjuster.

My question is, should I be hiring a lawyer in this situation? If I should, what kind of lawyer do I need in this situation?
