Aging Grandma Unable To Return Home Due To Roommate

Needing help. My grandma is being placed on hospice after a recent decline in health. She’s lived on her own and has expressed her wishes to return home to die in peace. However, 20 years ago she let a family member move in who just never moved out. They do not pay rent. They may contribute to bills, but extremely unlikely. They have racked up thousands of dollars of debt on my grandmas credit cards. They work night shift and are home during the day. If ANYONE wakes them while they’re sleeping, it’s a huge fight. Yelling, cussing, screaming. We have had nurses quit in the past due to his abuse. How can we get him out to allow her to die in peace? She unfortunately does not see him as a problem and will not express any wrong doings to anyone. She has dementia so we can’t get her to sign anything legally. I know we can go to court, but it’s such a lengthy process. It’s just not fair that she’ll be homeless (she can stay with family but is adamant about dying at home. Becomes extremely upset when told she can’t) on top of this, in her will the property is split between two other members on the family (not him) but we noticed that this past week he’s had several people out at her land looking at it. We are slightly worried he’s going to try and do something shady before we can figure out a solution. Help?? Are we just SOL?
