Apartment Forced Me To Sign An Nda To Get Out Of Lease W/ Severe Black Mold And Life-long Condition

I know that Texas criminal court would void my NDA and immediately but I just wanna know if I can be civilly sued if I expose my previous apartment complex for their refusal to repair. I suffered severe mold poisoning for over a year, and have everything in writing where they refuse remove and remediate mold properly, refused to test for mold, refused to hire HVAC specialist (they were going to have their maintenance man “clean” it), and said it’s not mold it’s mildew all in writing.

I developed trigeminal neuralgia, which is one of the most excruciating conditions and is literally called the suicide disease. At first, I had MRIs for MS and CT’s for lymphoma.

they hired one of the largest lawyers in the state of Texas for property owners. my lawyer didn’t care and let me sign an NDA under duress (I was so sick) had no idea what I was signing. I also had explicitly said I want out of this apartment, but I want to be able to post publicly what they did to me.

they refuse to let me out without signing the NDA, and all my parents cared about was getting me out of the place that was literally killing me. they also didn’t have the money to spend months if not years in litigation for an evil corrupt apartment complex. court cost would’ve far out weighed one month of rent. I don’t even care about the compensation for the lifelong pain I will now suffer because of their negligence. all I wanna do is publicly shame them for the hell that they put me through just to laugh in my face. even getting DHHS there would be a win in my opinion.

just for reference my mold guy said he would go to court gladly for me because of how bad it was. it was also in every inch of drywall, and mold was so well established that it wasn’t sending spores into the air anymore. Essentially the air quality didn’t match what was physically in the vents. It was also an extremely humid moldy day outside, so that affected the control level of mold.

if you have any suggestions or know of who I can report them to, please let me know. Yes it’s a bit of a pride thing, but I can’t stand the idea of them almost killing somebody else.
