Arrested When Trying To Defend Myself With A Knife In My Apartment
So I live in
Location: Texas
I'm a music engineer and mix/master music for a living. I would use my studio monitors but would be courteous and stop using them close to midnight and never after.
One Saturday it was around 10:30pm and randomly my power went off/on. Went outside to check my breaker and passed by #1 apartment (who claimed the side of the apartment completely his) said I was trying to break into his place and attacked me.
I always carry a pocket knife with me and pulled it out to defend myself and two other neighbors broke us up. I called 911 for him attacking me and ended up getting arrested for a Misdemeanor. The neighbors sided with him (he looks like gang affiliated) saying I started the attack. Ended up paying a $2500 bond for a $25000 bond and got out that day however have not heard anything about the case. Since then I don't even use my studio monitors just my headphones and try to not even come close to this guys place.
Should I keep ignoring it till I hear something on it? Checking in weekly like the bond company said to do and still nothing.
