Bought Car From Dealership 2 Months Ago. $2k In Repairs Needed 2 Weeks After Purchase. Car Exploded/caught Fire Yesterday - Dealership Claims No Wrongdoing

Good afternoon, as the title states, we bought a used car from a dealership 2 months ago. We were told there were zero issues with it but it was sold as is. 2 weeks after the purchase date the car started heavily leaking oil. We took it to a mechanic and we were quoted over $2k in repairs. We emailed the dealership at that time requesting to return the vehicle and void the contract due to the failure of the vehicle. They denied this request and said the best they could do is make the repairs at a slightly discounted price.
Fast forward to yesterday, upon pulling into the driveway we noticed a weird smell coming from the vehicle. I looked under it and there was an electrical spark. Immediately it caught fire. There were several explosions causing debris to fly as far as across the street to the neighbor's yards. The car is a total loss. It also caused minor damage to the house, driveway, and yard.
After the fire, we noticed some new reviews on the dealership BBB and Google listing from several other people who have experienced the same thing. Which would establish a pattern.
In your opinion do we have a case to seek damages? Or at the very least get the loan settled? We still owe $9k on it.
I have a feeling we have no case due to the dealership stating that the vehicle was being sold as-is but wanted to get a second opinion.
