Location: brother, childs mother and child - Oklahoma. Myself and our mom - Florida.

Hello! I, (33f) am a first time poster, sorry if it is wrong. I also randomly used an email i have so this isn't linked to anything i have liked/commented on in my main reddit account.

THAT SAID!. I am in the middle of helping my brother (35m) with his daughter (12 months).

The mother (33f) of his child a danger to the baby and is threatening some scary things. she is highly su ici dal, has threatened him that "if i cant have her, neither can you", and that she would make false claims against him (witnesses are there that saw her do this and it is where it is was recorded in her place of work). She currently has an open child abuse case against her.

We are looking at a temporary custody agreement or POA to be given to me and/or my mom (63f) in Florida while he works things out in Oklahoma and not have to worry about the kiddo's safety, mental health and well being.

I am looking at a bunch of things on line and it is getting confusing. We drafted an informal agreement but now the mother is refusing to sign and is going nuclear.

my brother/kids dad wants to give us POA until more can be done, he has more stable footing and the mother either gets stable/help OR she is terminated depending on DHS case.

He doesn't need us to go get her literally this second but wants something in place incase DHS says she cant stay there temporarily either due to my brother losing his job when she decided to dip for a while and he had to take care of her.

Any help would be great.
