Fictionalized Depiction Of People's Temple (jonestown Massacre)

Hello, lawyers of Reddit. I have few questions regarding libel law. I am an aspiring science fiction author writing a novel that contains a depiction of an alternative future version of People's Temple wherein the Jonestown massacre attempt is thwarted when lieutenants within the congregation start a coup to overthrow Jim Jones. Within the context of the novel, the movement carries on in obscurity before redefining itself as a non-profit/charitable works group with a hidden, (ironic) underlying philosophy of human supremacy in a future where a space-faring humanity lives among other alien races.

I am concerned about representing my fictionalized take on the future of People's Temple in a way that not only respects the past and surviving members of the People's Temple movement and congregation, but also protects me from potential legal actions taken against me from any such members that may take offense to the way I utilize or interpret the movement's history. I am not a lawyer, nor am I trained or educated in legal matters, but as a preventative measure, I have drafted a disclaimer statement (listed below) I intend to include in my book in an effort to ward against libel or any other related legal actions. I am posting this to inquire about the following:

A. Would this disclaimer be sufficient for its intended purpose?

B. Is such a disclaimer necessary in a work of interpretive fiction?

C. If such a disclaimer is indeed warranted, what changes, corrections, or additions would you recommend?

{The coup, and the events that follow, are works of interpretive fiction designed to serve as an example of a process of events that could, hypothetically, have occurred, with the full acknowledgement that the realities of the People’s Temple movement existed in a manner beyond the author’s limited understanding of the movement’s history, its social dynamics, and its philosophical aspirations. The author makes an effort to portray the fictionalized future of People’s Temple in a manner that honors and respects the tragic loss of life in Jonestown, as well as the past and surviving members of the congregation.

The author acknowledges the nuanced complexity of the People’s Temple movement, and endeavors in his writing to distinguish the fictionalized future of the movement as a distinct and separate entity, with goals and philosophies that are not reflective of the real-world People’s Temple movement, but rather as a hypothetical, fictionalized offshoot of the group within the context of this work of fiction.

Furthermore, the author makes an effort to create fictional characters within his portrayal of the fictionalized future of People’s Temple. Any real or perceived connection between the future members of this fictionalized version of People’s Temple and the movement’s real-life constituents is done so without the intention of portraying any such real-life members of People’s Temple in a negative, unflattering, or disreputable light.}
