Frivolous Demand From California Attorney. Can I Refuse To Pay Arbitration Fee?
Location: Georgia I have a business in Georgia and dealing with a demand letter from a California law firm known for shaking down people because of Meta pixels. Their demand is incorrect and I believe they might still decide to move forward to arbitration. Based on what I read, since it is cheap for them to file and expensive for me to fight, they might use this technical to shake me down and force me to settle even though I did nothing wrong. They even found another claimant with the same claim and I’m sure they can find many more. In an attempt to squeeze. My terms of service has that cases have to go to arbitration. If they do file, can I refuse to pay the arbitration fee and see if they sue me? In this case it seems cheaper for me to get sued and defend myself than to fight each case one at a time in arbitration and waste a lot of money while they only pay $200. Wondering if this is a valid option for me to just enjoy any arbitration request for fee to start.
