Great Grandmother Gave Me A Ring, Now Grandmother Was To Go To Court.

Hello everyone, my great grandmother gave me her wedding ring that’s quite valuable and sentimental to me while she was in the hospital. My grandmother and grandfather were witness to this and I let everyone in the family know that I had the ring. Well my great grandmother goes on hospice care and my grandfather decides to read her will to the whole family as we are gathered at my great grandmothers home. He also said that my great grandmothers wishes for the ring were whoever received the ring would pay for it to the other people who are inheritors. The whole family agreed, that would be great, with my mother, father,aunt and two grandparents in the room. Well fast forward a month and my great grandmother passed away. Before passing away she told me, my father and her caretakers she did not want her Son or daughter in law (my grandparents) to have her ring as they’ve always coveted it. She also wanted to write them out of her will while on hospice but we couldn’t get her lawyer to visit and she decided not to go through with it as it was to much for her to handle while on hospice. Yesterday a week after my great grandmothers funeral my grandmother called me and asked for the ring, to which I said that’s not what we all agreed on. My grandmother told me she had no recollection of that meeting and that the will states her husband (my grandfather) was to inherit the home and jewelry. What she didn’t know was I had a copy of the will after my great grandmothers asked me to help her. I told my grandmother that’s not what the will says and that we will have to talk about what is to happen with the ring. Since this call my grandfather has threatened to call the sheriff department for theft of the ring. Can anyone please give some insight on this I only want my great grandmothers wishes to be carried out as she intended.
