Gym Created Me A Membership Without My Consent
Location: California EOS gym
To put it simple an acquaintance of mine, not even friend, said they referred me to to the eos gym by giving them my name and number. A month later I find out that she actually made me a gym membership and put it under her family plan. Now I’m getting calls asking to update billing info since she refuses to pay this said plan I’m under. The manager said she looked into getting it removed two days ago, I’m still getting calls about the account and the front desk told me to keep looking into to it since apparently I still have an active membership under her plan ? I’m in shock on how someone can use solely my name and number to create a gym membership without my consent, signature of approval or even a valid ID ?! Second, why aren’t they immediately closing my gym
Membership seeing as I’ve never stepped foot in this gym. Should I seek the police?

How do I get a gym to make sure they give me a written release stating that my account is voided and zero balance is owed within the same day instead of just telling me they will look into it?!
