How Can I Protect Myself From My Family's Smear Campaign?

My family is a bunch of frauds. My brother and my mother seem to operate this secret money scheme--they talk a lot in private (whispering so I don't hear them) and my brother received special legal and financial training because of my parents. My brother was raised to manage the family trust, or so it seems. He also received a special inheritance and a loan. That doesn't really bother me, what bothers me is their secrecy and refusal to honor my rights as a human being and beneficiary. When I ask for an accounting I'm threatened with disinheritance. Even worse is that they are making false claims that I'm requesting trust documents because I am greedy and want all the money for myself. First off, legally, I can't take all the money for myself unless the other beneficiaries die or go to prison or something so why are they making these meritless false claims against me? The only logical answer I can think of is they are trying to intimidate me and scare me away from legally getting the information that is my right and I'm honestly afraid of them. But why are they blocking my access? It's not like I can take their share, so what gives? Secondly, I know that by law they must provide accounting if I ask in writing yet they keep avoiding it--treating me like a spineless idiot--do I really need to hire a lawyer just to get the accounting? They will disinherit me if I compel the accounting in court and then I lose any access to trust evidence against them. My sick mind keeps telling me they're doing this to protect me because they love me but am I being delusional--are they obviously committing some type of crime?
