I Am Receiving A 25-30k Pay Cut At My Job
My Location: I work in Atlanta, GA and have worked as an IT administrator at a plant for 2 years. I make about 100-105k as I'm in a commission pool with a base salary of 60k. I had been notified that my position was being terminated effective yesterday's date, November 2nd, 2026. I was given a choice, you can quit with no severance package or you can roll over into a new position at the parent company as an IT administrator. They offered me a salary of 75k and I accepted as I can't be unemployed for obvious reasons. This fucking sucks because I'm being given a massive pay cut and have literally done nothing wrong. I don't have a single negative mark against me throughout my entire tenure with the company. Are my choices just to roll over and take it and look for another job or is there anything I can do to alleviate this legally? I have a 3 year old and am looking into adopting another child and I may have to put that on hold so I can afford it at a later point. Any legal advice is appreciated. Thanks.
