I Found Out My Husband Is Cheating And He Doesn’t Know I Know

Posting on a throw away account for obvious reasons. This morning I found out my husband is cheating and he doesn’t know that I know.
My husband and I have been having marital problems for a couple of months. It seemed very out of the blue and his whole character seemed to change overnight. I have been a mess since and desperate for answers and he had just been saying “he hasn’t been happy”. Today he was in the shower and for the first time in months he actually left his phone on his bedside table and as much as I know it’s wrong, I looked…… and I found out he had been with another women who he wants to be with and has even gone to a lawyer to find out next steps for divorce.
I am completely blindsided and devastated and want to make sure I protect myself and my children. Can you please help me know what my next steps, legally, are. I want to kick him out of the house, can I legally do that? Should I talk to a lawyer before I confront him?
Thank you so much for any advice of help. I never saw this coming and I just don’t know what to do.
