Incorrectly Charged And Mis-imprisoned

Card image cap

backstory: was pulled over as a 20 year old with the carts, officer charges me for possession of flower(mistake), then sergeant calls me up to station the following day and gives me new charges for a f3 position of controlled substance(claiming the carts were hashish). my lawyer and i then go in and talk with them for an hour and they ultimately dropped it and decided to not file charges.
FAST FORWARD 10 MONTHS (almost 22y/o at this point)
i get pulled over and placed under arrest for felony drug warrant. the officer who pulled me over was the same officer from previously. she has been driving on the road that can see my house directly multiple times(i’ve passed her and seen her more than 5 times and she knows i live there) in the process the officer was making jokes about embarrassing me on the local facebook and talking about how people are going to see this. well ultimately i get taken to the county and do 18 hours. 7 of which were in a cell block of all FED transfers.(doesn’t seem right for a low level drug charge)
i end up finding out that i was in for a F5 Posession of Drugs. i bail out the following day and go to court the following tuesday. the first thing the judge says is that i was not suppose to be charged for a felony and that it was suppose to be the LOWEST LEVEL MISDEMEANOR and that i was mis-imprisoned and talked about how i should not have served jail time for this.

am i able to sure the department for damages? i missed out on multiple shifts at both of my jobs and also have trauma from being in there.
