Is There Any Legal Action I Can Take About My Stalker Ex-boyfriend?
Location: North Carolina
Background: my ex boyfriend has been arrested for breaking my nose then taken to a mental hospital in the past 1-2 years. I fled the city with my daughter and he is actively looking for me and keeps making fake Instagram accounts and posting explicit content saying I am selling my body and following people I know, my old addresses, my daughters SSN and emailing me death threats. The local law enforcement told me there is nothing they can do just keep doing what I’m doing and get a gun. Is there anything I can do to stop the profiles? It gets reported and taken down but he just makes another one. I’m worried if he does hire a PI he can find my address (only thing that could be used is my internet + electric bill that’s it) Right now he states I have two weeks before my life is over with. I’m just terrified for me and my daughter and everyone is telling me there is nothing I can do. Is there anything legal I can do to stop him? Is the police missing something by telling me there’s nothing to be done? I can’t pay for a lawyer at this moment.
