Its Been 10 Years Since My Dad Died And My Half-brother Has Refused To Claim His Inheritance

I (28M) nd my half-brother (37M) are my dads only children. My dad died 10 years ago and I have little to no contact with my half-brother. When my dad died there was a lawsuit and we got a payout. 25% of that payout went to my hb, 25% to me, and 50% to my mom. We've tried via our lawyers and ourselves multiple times to give him his check. We've had lawyers try and contact him. We've even met with him in person to hand give him that check. He threw out the check and doesnt want anything to do with us or anything going on.

Personally, i dont care for the guy but believe it or not I actually would like for him to have that money. This is something my mom and I agreed on completely and we wanted him to claim that money but he's kept expressing he doesnt want it nor does he want to talk to me any longer. What happens with that money?

Even though id like for him to have it, its been 10 years of us waiting and trying to get him to claim it and nothing. I myself have fallen into a very difficult economic time in my life. My mom passed away recently and even though I can keep up with all the bills and whatnot its still difficult financially so being able to use that money would be beneficial. What are my options if I even have any or will this money forever remain unclaimed?
