Legal Notice Attached To My Door About A Bill From A Dentist For Work That Was Done April 2025
Location: Kansas. My regular dentist said I needed a crown and scheduled it. Then my dentist had to undergo eye surgery and canceled my crown and referred me out. I went to the referred dentist. I gave them my driver's license and insurance and filled out paper work. Then when the crown was done I checked out with the front desk. Friday I see an officer on my cameras at home. When I went home he had stuck in my doorway a court date order that I owe $500 for the crown and $400 in late fees and costs. I was really taken back by it so when the fam gets home I ask if anyone saw anything in the mail, check possible emails for bills. My wife uses this dentist as her main dentist so she was checking things. I then look through my voicemail and sure enough I have a message in January stating that I owe the same amount and that they have not been able to bill me since the bills keep coming back "return to sender". Yes I know I missed that call but have a work phone that I am on call regularly so I tend to make that my main line. Do I have anything to stand on? Seems like lazy office work to me. My wife goes there. My last name is very uncommon. Google pulls me up really quick. I just am frustrated that this became what it is and I'm willing to pay for the crown but I feel the fees are bullshit since they couldn't keep my information straight.
