Medically Ill Family Member Dropped At My Home That I Am Now Seemingly Stuck With Is Causing Financial And Mental Health Problems For Me.

Location: Texas
Around a year and a half ago my grandfather dropped my uncle with all of his things at my home after selling his property. We had talked about the possibility of him buying my home to move him closer, but we hadn't made any solid plans and he decided to move forward on his own with moving my uncle in. For clarity, my uncle suffers from an extreme brain injury and is basically stunted in age mentally as well as being prone to seizures and extreme mood swings. Because of this he is on some sort of health stipend and is unable to work.

I decided to not refuse him at the time he was dropped off at my place due to it being family, and still entertaining the idea of my grandfather purchasing my place from me. For a long while it was fine, as we mostly didn't have direct interaction so I never pushed the issue, but recently within the past 3 months his mood swings have gotten significantly worse, and he has started destroying my property as well as threatening me. He's a big man with history of violence, so I've had to call the police twice on him to de-escalate during two of these encounters, which resulted in calming him down, but also being told that due to the amount of time that has passed that he is legally a resident, and unless he actually hurt me, there is nothing they can really do.

I've tried to contact my grandfather on the status of him purchasing the home, or relocating my uncle, but over the past 6 months he has completely ghosted me and I haven't been able to get in contact with him. At this point I'm convinced that the sale is not happening, and he has no plans to relocate my uncle. I'm also concerned that as his legal caretaker, he is just collecting the checks sent to my uncle via the earlier mentioned stipend and he's also(maybe?) still in charge/possession of the money generated from my uncle's property that he sold.

It's reached the point where these confrontations have me fearing be home and around my uncle and it's also starting to cost me some money fixing the damages he's caused such as cutting my fiber lines, and destroying my water pipes. I know at this point an eviction process is probably needed, but I'm unsure if there are any extra details I'd need to be aware of due to his medical condition, and I'd also love to know if there was a faster option to getting him out of here.

We have no written agreement and I pay most of the bills. When he first moved in we put the water bill on his coverage as his 'part", but I've been the one paying the other utilities, as well as the taxes. I'm not sure of the details of his health coverage, and worry that it may cause an issue with me trying to remove him from my home.

I feel like an absolute monster trying to get him removed from my home like this, but I'm at the end of my rope. I'm tired of coming home from work to him letting my animals free roam outside, something damaged, or an argument generated from his fractured psyche. He was arrested recently (I do not know the details, but that caused a big fight when he was eventually bailed out by my grandfather) and I didn't realize how much I had been stressing this entire situation fully until he returned. I am paranoid that the problems will only continue to escalate and I'm not sure where to turn to.

If anyone is aware of any nuances about the eviction process regarding my situation, or has any alternative ideas to get him out faster it'd be very much appreciated. My life has been revolving around this forced arrangement, and I really need some insight on how to go about this whole scenario.

Edit: Thanks for all of the responses. It seems like I have a lot more options then I initially realized, and the comments from everyone has genuinely lessened the anxiety I've been having about this situation some. I really apreciate everyone here.

Edit#2: Turning point today. My uncle had another freakout that resulted in him attempting to hurt me. Luckily it was short and unsuccessful but it result in another call to the cops. They weren't able to remove him still, but they did provide me with all of his case numbers and some additional info to provide to APS.

After the ordeal was de-esculated with the cops I attempted to call my grandfather again, and while I didn't manage to reach him, I did manage to reach his wife(my step-grandmother) and we got to chat for a while. To my surprise she told me they are actually looking into a property for him right now, and they have a lead. She said with any luck that he'd be out within a month. I told her that it needed to happen sooner, and that I was planning on starting a case with APS. She asked me to hold off saying that she, "Wants him to retain his freedoms" and that she'll do whatever it takes to get him out asap.

As an olive branch I told her my stance is she is to keep me updated at LEAST once a week regardless if there is news or not, and that the moment I stopped hearing from her I would persue a case with APS. I'm not sure if that was the right move on my part, but at least there is a line in the sand now.

So things seem somewhat in motion now. Hopefully they are being truthful about relocating him soon, but they now know where I stand on the matter, and hopefully I'll be free soon. Thanks again for all of the advice, I feel like I am starting to regain control slowly.
