Moving Company Changed Contracted Price On The Day Of The Move To 150(ish)% Of Original Quote. What Are Our Options?

Location: North Carolina, USA

We contracted a moving company to pack and move the contents of our house from North Carolina to Texas. We requested the company look at the contents in person to give us an accurate quote, but they said they were unable to, so instead they looked over FaceTime. We showed in all the cabinets, drawers, hutches, etc to give an accurate idea of what needed packing. We were given a quote of $19,000, which was in line with a few other quotes we got and decided to contract them. They decided packing today (Saturday) and filling the truck tomorrow (Sunday) would be plenty of time to get us free and clear before closing on Monday, which we were skeptical about. We asked 3 separate times to move up the dates by one day (Friday and Saturday instead) to give us a little wiggle room, but again they declined and said it was plenty of time. Today they start packing and say that they underestimated the move, said we would need to pay an additional $9,000 and they would need to work into Monday to get it done. This goes into our planned closing and is an EXTREME increase in price from the original contracted quote. We had to sign the new contract since it would cause a lot of problems with the house closing and it is far too late to find other movers. Is there any legal action we can take, considering the intense discrepancy between the initial quote and the change day of, and the fact we had no choice but to sign unless we wanted to face bigger issues with the house closing? Update: the extra boxes the increase in price was meant to cover have already run out and there's still more to go ???? fingers crossed they don't try to jack up the price again. The contracted movers were outsourced to and had to give up a second moving job to finish ours too so they're pissed...we were promised the full 18 wheeler and they were told we would share the truck with another move
