My Apartment Shut Off My Units Power And Spoiled All Of My Food While I Was Away.

Today(the 28th) I got home at 5am after being gone from my apartment complex to work for the weekend. I left Thursday night last week(23rd). When I arrived all of my electric was shut off. I figured it must of been from the storm the night before, so I checked my fridge. All of my meat was bad, milk spoiled, cheese bad, etc... everything in my freezer was completely thaw and ALSO bad. My power had to have been shut off for multiple days for this to have happened. I pay rent and utilities through my property management company, so I went on the site to see what could have happened, and I haven't missed any payments, and have nothing due until the 1st. My neighbors power is all working, as there front door lights were all on. I have never missed a payment, in fact I pay early sometimes, and I was wondering how I can get repaid for my spoiled goods that went bad.

Edit: It is way worse then I thought. When I moved in back in August of 2025 I provided my account number from my energy company to my property management company to add the payment to my tenant portal and charge it monthly. I was told it would show up as a separate payment on the tenant portal. After calling the energy company today I was told that they had never received a single payment, so I checked my tenant portal and they have not charged my electric once. My disconnect notice is from an accumulation of all my bills that I thought I was paying through my tenant portal this whole time. Just to reconnect I have to pay $1400 that I do not have as I just had another emergency LAST WEEK and used my emergency fund. What can I do?
