My Buddy’s Landlord Is Trying To Take Him To Court
Location: Norfolk VA
Hello, so my buddy moved into this apartment about 6 months ago ,he’s been having bad problems with roaches and so basically he’s fed up with this issue, his apartment complex said they sprayed and they even acknowledged,that that the issue is not him it’s the building, but still the bugs keep coming, his landlord stated that they entered his property without his consent and landlord said it’s ok because it’s something to do with pest control, he looked up VA law ( 21/30) saying the landlord has 21 days to fix the issue,well it’s been 21 days and he served them that letter 21 days ago,he turns in another letter as a reminder and his landlord said they’ll be taking him to court there’s a little more to the story but I’m just curious because when he tells me this story I don’t know if he should just cave in and pay to break your lease or go to court and fight this, if anyone could give me some guidance that would be great thank you.
