My Property Manager Lied Under Oath At My Eviction Hearing Today. The Judge Granted A Continuance To Friday. What Now? (i Have Undeniable Proof And They Were On Record)

Sorry for the long post in advance...but this all seems pretty wild to me and would love some thoughts please!!

Genuinely don't know how to handle this. 9-year tenant in Phoenix, never missed rent until last month. Had a major accident on the property in 2024 (tripped over dog and then awkwardly slipped backwards hitting head and was unconscious for 40 hours. My company did a wellness check 2 days later which thankfully which saved my life).

Overall I can't complain, I'm back to almost 100% but I did have a mental slip and overpaid some bills and forgot to pay rent which is not normal. I sent the landlord a formal Fair Housing Act accommodation request asking for a brief extension and fee waiver, and included ADA language. They engaged with it, asked me for medical documentation, I sent records from my rehab hospital. They wrote back saying they were "submitting my docs for further review" and thanked me for my patience.

The next day they filed eviction. No phone call. Just one email I didn't see that day.

Eviction Court was today, virtually by phone. The plaintiff's attorney pushed for a default ruling 4 separate times like I had bullied him in high school and this was his big moment. At one point he literally said "Your Honor, he committed the crime knowingly and if he wants to litigate further he should be moved to trial, but default should be ruled in favor of plaintiff and he work on getting this off his record at a later time".

That's when I asked to read the emails aloud explaining I thought I had written agreement I was not in penalty until my records (which they requested) were reviewed. The emails are dated and show exactly that, language that is clear we are in a review process, and then default made against me with no attempted calls or official denial of my accommodation.

That's when the assistant property manager (who my emails have been with) got sworn in. He was asked to swear the truth. And then..."so when did you did send him the notice..(he gets quiet, its clear he doesn't have emails in front of him)...and then

"It was the 15th...and we let him know we needed more documentation...but he never responded...so we moved forward with eviction process." (my jaw is on floor). "and did you communicate with him?" ... "Yes your honor, through phone, and email".

HOLY...SH*T. This guy just lied under oath..twice.

The plaintiff judge asks a 5th time for default against me. I chime in "your honor before any decision can I please speak for 1 minute." Yes. "Your honor that information was incorrect and I have the documentation here to submit to you if possible. They emailed me on the 22nd, and judgment was the 23rd and we have had no communication until I called the day I got my eviction papers.

She continued the case to Friday and asked me to send the email thread to her bailiff. She was super nice and asked if it would be helpful if the bailiff sent me an email with details and I thanked her kindly.

HERE:S WHERE I'M STUCK...

She asked me to work with the property company on providing the documentation they want. But the judge and everyone seemed to overlook something I didn't. The assistant manager, the only person I have communication access to...lied under oath 2 times in an attempt to...I think it was to make HIM look not bad, more than it was to make me look bad...because I'm always nice to him....but I don't know how or if I should bring this up?

Do I write something in the email to the judge when submitting the emails I have? I also need to ask the property manager what the heck they want for my documentation since they never actually told me. They just said "we didn't accept your documetation but it met all the ADA standards so Im confused on what to do and how to move forward?

I plan to pay the full balance before Friday to get the case dismissed. But the lying under oath is sitting wrong with me.
