My Sister’s Ex Has Gotten Me Fired From My Job By Making A Fake Blog With My Name With Clearly Defaming Content. Would It Be Worth Pursuing A Defamation Case? What Other Recourses Do I Have To Make Her Stop Trying To Pull Shit Like This?

For context, my sister and our entire immediate family has been harassed by my sister’s ex girlfriend. This started two years ago, shortly after they broke up, with this ex initially leaking racy pictures they exchanged to her public social media accounts.

This has since escalated to blatantly false CPS reports, posting our family’s personally identifiable information to websites that are associated with something called 764, etc.

About 2 months ago, I was notified that I was terminated from my job, effective immediately, due to violating the companies social media policy. I later had a SWAT team at my door due to concerns that I had owned CSAM. I was completely cleared and the investigation has since been closed.

I was recently emailed a website that had my full legal name as the URL, that I believe was the contributing factor towards me violating my employer’s “social media policy”. It had pictures from my Facebook and went into detail about how I was a pedophile and how to find CSAM. I strongly believe this was my sister’s ex who created this.

I am wondering what recourses are there for me, if this even constitutes defamation, and if it is worth pursuing a legal case against her. It is probably worth noting that this woman has zero assets according to people who are friends with her, so monetary recourse may not be possible.
