Quit Claim Help Michigan
Hello Location: Michigan
I am in the middle of buying a house and was hoping to use a MSHDA loan which i locked in a rate before rates went up.
Well my grandmother who told me about the idea but wasnt cetain she was going to do it yet since I suggested we look into lawyers decided to quit claim deed her home to herself, my dad, his wife, and myself. My dad and his wife live there with my much younger sister and if something happens to him im kind of a contingency plan.
I was fine with this but I wanted us to know all our options.
Now as a result of her just doing this impulsively I am a home owner and no longer qualify for first time home buyer loans which probably jeopardizes me buying the house at all at any rate. I may be able to pull something off but it'll be more up front than im comfortable with.
Is it really even practical at this point to get a lawyer to try to reject me getting it? I feel like that could cost me hundreds of not thousands of dollars? The issue is I cant just get myself off it since now I have owned a home by history.
