Salesman At Car Dealership Is Stealing Customers From Other Sales People In Arizona

Hello all!

I worked at a Car Dealership owned by Courtesy Auto Group. Location: Mesa, Arizona.

SOME IMPORTANT BACKGROUND INFORMATION: We all have to use a system called DriveCentric. Through DriveCentric we can send Emails, texts, and phone-calls in order to contact potential Customers (we called it "Mining/Prospecting"). The problem is EVERYONE can see the Emails, texts, and calls we make; even other Sales Professionals. DriveCentric has a "feature" which shows when ANY Sales Professional gets a Lead on a potential Customer; this is Step 1. When we contact the potential Customer, it goes to Step 2 which is known as "Engagement." If the Engagement goes well it goes to Step 3, in which we send the "Proposal" in which we send the Numbers to the Customer; and, if the Proposal/Numbers look good to the Customers, an appointment is made to test-drive/buy the vehicle of interest. And, the final step, is "Delivery," in which the vehicle is purchased and delivered to the Customer.

THE PROBLEM: Since everyone can see what everyone is doing, it makes it so easy to steal Leads, Appointments, and Customers from other Sales Professionals. We have ONE GUY (we'll call him Moe) who waits for everyone else to begin the Engagement and Proposal process; then, he swoops-in and steals the Customer before the Delivery process. We all have to use the DriveCentric system to make phone-calls, so our Sales Managers can see what we are doing and how we are doing. However, Moe uses his own cell-phone to make calls and texts to the Customers/potential Customers of OTHER Sales Professional. He uses his cell-phone so it doesn't leave a trail through the DriveCentric system. He's, basically, allowing everyone else to do the hardest part (getting a POSITIVE Engagement from a Customer), then he jumps-in, and takes the Customer without even letting the other Sales Professional know he's doing it. Moe is doing this to the point of selling 20 - 40 cars per month (making him around $20,000 - $40,000 per month); while everyone else has trouble selling more than THREE or FIVE cars per month. In September, we all know he made $26,000; and, most of those sales were stolen from other Sales Professionals. We've all read his messages and Emails to find-out what he's doing RIGHT, only to find out his bad his grammar is, and how badly he sucks at talking to Customers. He's taken AT LEAST four deals from me, which I know of (my Sales Managers have even caught him stealing deals). No one at that dealership likes him for the same reason; but, we don't know what to do about it.

MY QUESTION: What can be done about this obvious theft? We complained to our Sales Manager, but nothing is being done, because it LOOKS LIKE he's selling cars to our General Manager; and that GM is defending him. Even if Moe gets fired, he will simply go somewhere else and do the exact same thing over there. Is there an agency which we can contact in order to bring justice to him? I asked an A.I. this question, and it said what Moe's doing used to be called "Grand Larceny," but it's called "Felony Theft" right now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, in advance.

Take care, drive safe, and stay safe everywhere you all go.
