Shot Neighbors Dog In Tx - Next Steps?

We have a neighborhood dog that is a nuisance. In the past 3-4 months it has been over all the time. It has

1. Killed all of our 14 chickens besides two, I witnessed it running across the pasture with one in its mouth.

2. Torn up porch furniture

3. Eaten all of our dogfood

4. Harassed our livestock

To try to fix the situation we

1. Made a post in our community group asking the owner to contain the dog

2. Knocked on the owners door (did not answer)

3. Asked other neighbors to speak to her (they did)

4. Even more neighbors have spoken to her with the same issues

5. Called the county and police but we have no animal control at all

This week our female dog is in heat. We keep her up and in our yard or in the house, but the dog has been here 24/7 and is aggressive toward my small male dog, who is fixed. Today I got home and didn’t see the neighbors dogs and let both our dogs out to potty. I walked around the house and the dog was there without me knowing and attacked my small dog when it got near him and my female dog. I ran and got a small caliber gun we use for coyotes and shot the dog and it ran home. My small dog is having some issues breathing but don’t think he needs major care, as it was more of a warning attack but this is the third time it has happened. The owner has since been driving by our house slowly. Should I report to police? Leave it alone? I don’t want to get in trouble here but I have a 3 year old that can’t even play outside in our own yard and our dogs can’t even go out.
