Told I Can Refund At Any Time While Selling Membership Denied When I Asked For One
Location: Columbia,Tn,USA Situation: Several months ago I joined a Martial arts gym near me. During their sales pitch and later when they approached me about extending my membership during a sale, I was told that if something happened and I needed to cancel it wouldn't be an issue and they could refund the remainder of the time. So two employees on two separate occasions told me it shouldn't be an issue. Well life happened and I was no longer able to make it to the gym, I reached out and spoke to the employee who sold me the two year membership. She then said "well, there's actually a list of reasons that would let us get you a refund I'll have to get it and send it to you and we can go from there" obviously not what she told me before but okay at least they're working with me. They never sent me the list so then I get in touch with the instructor, I get told "oh so sorry we meant to get back with you, since you paid in full we can't refund you" so what are my options? The employees falsely represented being able to refund it and if I hadn't been told that I wouldn't have bought mine or my daughters memberships
