Uber Eats Charged $1200+ To My Account After Falsely Showing A Voucher Would Cover The Entirety Of The Order.
I had a company voucher with $1519.86 left on it which I used to pay for an order worth $1263.39. Uber showed the order as being completely covered by the voucher and said it would cost me $0 after the voucher, so I ordered it. The next morning, Uber charged the full price of the order TO MY BANK ACCOUNT.
I sent them a screenshot of right before I placed the order showing the price, the voucher applying and the order costing me $0, and the amount left on the voucher which was more than the cost of the order.
I've already messaged with Uber. They refused to do anything about it and closed the conversation on me.
I'm now out over a grand and severely overdrawn in my account because they failed to apply their own voucher and ripped out the money from my account instead. What do I do?
Location: Texas, USA, but Uber is based in San Francisco, California, USA.
ETA: The voucher didn't come with restrictions outside of a spending limit and a expiry date (I placed the order before the date). It was a personal voucher, and each employee was given one.
ETA 2: During the course of the week, Uber literally sent multiple automated emails urging me to spend it before it ran out.
ETA 3: The order summary within the app literally said "TOTAL: $0.00" before I hit "Place Order". There's no way I would have placed the order if it didn't explicitly tell me that.
