Uninsured Driver Caused An Accident, But Their Employer Refuses Responsibility. Need Advice!

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some advice regarding a car accident involving my brother in Houston, Texas.
My brother was recently involved in an accident near the University of Houston. Thankfully, he is completely fine and did not suffer any injuries, but his car was damaged.
According to him, he was driving straight through an intersection with a green light when another driver ran a red light and crashed into the passenger side of his car. Both vehicles were traveling straight through the intersection, and neither driver was making a turn.
The police responded to the accident, and the police report couldn’t determine who at fault due to lack of evidence from both side.

However, the other driver reportedly had no driver’s license or insurance. The owner of the company the driver was working for is denying responsibility and claiming that my brother was the one who ran the red light, even though the owner was not present at the accident.

My brother has a video taken immediately after the accident that shows the traffic light on his side was green, but unfortunately, it doesn’t capture the actual collision. We’re also considering asking nearby businesses whether they have security camera footage.
My brother has car insurance, but we’re unsure how to proceed, especially since the other driver was uninsured and the company is refusing to accept responsibility.
I would really appreciate any advice from people who have experienced something similar.

Can our insurance company help investigate the accident and recover money from the responsible party?

Would hiring an attorney be worthwhile in this situation?
Is there anything else we should do to protect ourselves and gather evidence?
