According to Adam Schefter, the Bears have re-signed DeMarco Jackson to a two-year deal worth up to $10.5million. The base terms of the deal make it closer to $4million per year, however.

D’Marco Jackson has agreed to terms to go back to Bears on a two-yr $7.5 million deal worth up to $10.5M.

Jackson was originally drafted by the New Orleans Saints with a 5th-round pick in 2022, but he came to Chicago in 2025–a move that coincided with the Bears hiring former Saints’ coach Dennis Allen as their defensive coordinator.

Jackson was primarily a special teams player in New Orleans, and that is how his career in Chicago began as well. However, as the Bears’ linebacker corps became injured over the course of the season, Jackson stepped up into a starting role where he performed admirably across four games. He did a little bit of everything, including recording at least one interception, one sack, and one tackle for a loss.

This continues the trend of Ryan Poles rewarding players who have stepped up for Chicago and have been willing and able to adapt their roles as the season demands. Additionally, it gives Chicago more options with the release of Tremaine Edmunds and the ongoing recovery of verteran T.J. Edwards.

What are your thoughts on the Bears keeping Jackson for another two years?
